I would book a place to stay offering nightly thunderstorms under a tin roof for vacation. I grew up in one and there’s no calmer sound that rain on the tin roof in the summer.
@peroty What a beautiful soundscape you’ve created with your evocative words. We often think about the sights we’ll see when we travel, but rarely about the sounds we’ll encounter. Thanks for the lovely reminder.
@peroty “I hear you!” My favourite was sitting on a verandah listening to heavy rain striking the roof, the crack of thunder, and later the staccato plops of large drops hitting the leaves on the ground under the trees. The gusts of cool winds off the river were a delight too.
