Mystery egg

Saw this egg in the ground on the 15th.
It was gone today.

I setup a camera to try and catch who’s egg it was. Never did find out. Or who took the egg.

It wasn’t trampled by the deer. But something took it today. No trace of it.

Walking through Brookside Gardens, I saw a bird fly into this bush. We had seen some Red-Winged Black Birds and I saw red out of the corner of my eye and thought it might be another one.
Instead, there was a Robin. Building a nest. We watched it sticking its tail feathers up and moving around in a circle. It was nest to be able to see this nest at eye level and watch the Robin build it.
We stayed back and let the bird work. After it flew off for more materials, I reached my arm over and above it to snap a picture. The nest was empty but still wet from the construction.

My Pixel phone has an astrophotography mode I’ve never used. Tonight was cold and clear so I decided to take it for a spin. It takes about a minute for each capture and I propped it on a phone stand I have for my desk as a mini tripod.
