I can’t decide if this is more cautionary tale of planning for retirement.
Or a perverse love story to a woman who looks lost and unable to find peace after losing her husband, her life, her community.
Did the upheaval of everything she knew lead to a life on the road? Was the view an escape hatch she leapt through when she has nothing else?
It’s a beautifully shot film filled with trauma around every corner. A collection of people fractured by life and events out of their control.

I have many feelings. It’s a great arc and a satisfying enough end.

Well..
The only people who want to be free are those who have committed a crime. The rest of us incarcerate ourselves in marriage, 9-5 jobs, organized religion, loyalty cards. Do you think they’ve have had to comb the deserts for Terrorist 47 if he had a loyalty card?
The movie Us does not disappoint. It’s a haunting film and the soundtrack plays a major part in that. These three versions of I Got 5 On It were all amazing in their own way.

It was suspenseful, tense and deeply creepy.
Jordan Peele can tell a tale.
