5 On It

The movie Us does not disappoint. It’s a haunting film and the soundtrack plays a major part in that. These three versions of I Got 5 On It were all amazing in their own way.



Yard work

  • Took a load of concrete to the dump.
  • Edged a new bed where the Blackberry and Raspberry bushes live.
  • Edged the front bed where the Hibiscus is and planted three Dahlias along the house with stakes.
  • Dug out the right bed and saved a little rose bush to be. We got the ground covering ripped out and turned the soil over in the entire bed. It’s ready to receive some planting.

It was a cool day with little splashes of rain. A perfect day for the yard work. We have loads of yard waste to dispose of this week. And much better looking beds.

Sapiens

📖 Making my way through Sapiens and utterly delighted by how accessible it is. I’m only 284 pages in but every time I sit down with it I learn something and I enjoy my time with it.
I’m going to have to requeue at the library to finish it though.

Creek Walk

Took a nice 2.5 mile walk along a creek today with my wife. She sprained her ankle coming down steps onto the trail but she was determined to walk and enjoy the day.
